The World Summit on Sustainable Health and Well-being will serve as a high-level platform to accelerate global progress toward UHC and reinforce its critical role within the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Summit acknowledges that UHC is not only central to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, but is also deeply interconnected with other SDGs, including SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). By situating sustainable health and well-being within the context of UHC and the SDGs, the Summit emphasizes a holistic vision: health as a driver of equity, resilience, and sustainable development globally.

Advancing the SDG health agenda to build resilient, inclusive and accessible health systems for all.
01Renew international consensus and practical strategies to accelerate universal health coverage beyond 2026.
02Remove barriers faced by women, youth, refugees, persons with disabilities and marginalized communities.
03Turn the links between health, climate, equality and the 2030 Agenda into coordinated action.
04Deepen UN-led cooperation and partnerships for equitable, climate-resilient health systems.
05Advance responsible AI, digital health, research and sustainable financing for accessible care.
06Build capacity, improve working conditions and strengthen community trust and participation.

“Universal Health Coverage comes at a cost. But the price is cheap, when we consider the alternative, to speed up and scale up investment in Universal Health Coverage and in stronger health systems, starting immediately.”
António Guterres, UN Secretary-General
